Hebrews 13 New
International Version (NIV)
 Keep on loving one
another as brothers and sisters. Do
not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have
shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
Prejudice against
strangers is not a new thing in our world; this probably came from the dark
ages when a wrong association with a stranger may result in you losing you
livelihood or even your life. It’s therefore a common instruction to young ones
not to talk to strangers and judging by some horrible stories in the news even
in recent times, it’s probably not a superfluous instruction. |

Matthew 13:24-30 (NIV) Jesus told them
another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man
who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came
and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then
the weeds also appeared. “The owner’s
servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field?
Where then did the weeds come from?’ “‘An enemy did
this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them
up? |

Psalm 1:1-3Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord , and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

Stick with it
Gen 26:2 And theLordappeared unto him, and said, Go not down
into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
It
might have been great for Abraham to move from place to place because God said
to him ‘walk through the land’. When it’s time for establishment and stability,
you need to stay in one place, and be rooted. Depending on what your situation
is, training, business or even relationship, you’ll need to find something or
someone you can commit to and stay with it. Of course there will be times to
take stock and possibly stop certain activities but you don’t jump and leave at
every sight of opposition, defeat or even failure. |

Genesis
26:1-4&12 (KJV)And there
was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of
Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And
the Lord appeared unto him, and
said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn
in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and
unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath
which I sware unto Abraham thy father; And I will make thy seed
to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these
countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; |

 Genesis 26:4 (KJV)
And I will make thy seed to multiply as
the stars of heaven….While this refers to the proverbial seed meaning
the fruit of the body; we are also looking at the literal interpretation of
this promise.
Mark 4:26-28 (KJV) And he
said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And
should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up,
he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of
herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. |

 Genesis 26:16-22 (NIV) Then
Abimelek said to Isaac, “Move away from us; you have become too powerful for
us.”So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the Valley
of Gerar, where he settled. Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the
time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham
died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them.
Isaac’s servants dug in the
valley and discovered a well of fresh water there. But the herders of Gerar
quarreled with those of Isaac and said, “The water is ours! |

Genesis 26:1&2(NIV)Now there was a famine in the land—besides the
previous famine in Abraham’s time—and Isaac went to Abimelek king of the
Philistines in Gerar. The Lord
appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I
tell you to live.
The patriarch
Isaac was instructed to stay in the land of famine and he obeyed. Because of
his obedience, God blessed him and made him so great that the natives pushed
him away out of envy. He left to settle in the valley, I guess he was allowed
to stay in the valley because it’s probably a waste land that nobody wants. |

Scriptural References;1
Chronicles 4:9-10(NIV)Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His
mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.”Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that
you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep
me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. Isaiah
43:19 (KJV)
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not
know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. |

Pastor Wale11/09/11 2Timothy 4:7,Heb.11:30-40 No matter what fights you've been involved with, the biggest fight yet is with yourself. The greatest fighters of all time are usually revealed by opportunities, extraordinary challenges in an ordinary day. 7 Reasons why people don't fight back - Indecision; it's okay to grief or be sad when the unexpected happen but beyond that make a decision; fight or flight is always going to be a conscious choice
- Abandonment or letting things drift; in this case nothing moves forward, things get worse.

Pastor Wale Josh.1:7&8, Ps.40:6-8 17/10/10 History is not only that which happened many years ago and is being read, everyday history is written 3 types of people: - Celebrators;they celebrate the celebrated
- Commemorators;they believe there's no more new things
- Anticipators; history makers
The difference between living and merely existing, you must be adding something to mankind, otherwise you merely exist. You need to birth a dimension of heaven in the place of your assignment; every pain and experiences you've been through are ingredients for your relevance. |

This could mean different things in different situations; to a hungry man, food will do while to a tired and weary traveller probably a warm bath hot meal and good sleep or rest will work wonders. Sometimes a good chat to a friend might also do the job, and help to rebuild failing morale. To a sick person, there’ll definitely be a need for a more prolonged care depending on the type of illness. To the Israelites in the wilderness, they moved from place to place, sometimes simply going round in circles, no serious sign of progress, they ate the same food, wore the same clothing and the same shoes. |
