God has an arsenal full of specialised
weapons ready for deployment at any time. You only need to go through the
scriptures and you’ll find references to these armaments. There is a detailed
account of God's sovereignty in the last 4 chapters.
However, here is a small reference; Have
you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail,
which I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle? -Job 38:22
& 23
“The weapons we fight with are not the
weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish
strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up
against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience,
once your obedience is complete.”-2 Corinthians 10:4-6
These are weapons not directly in the hands
of any human, but we have access to them through God by the virtue of our
position (beloved children) and relationship (father is pleased).
Our weapons in God are limitless, here are
a few of them; the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17), the prayer of faith (John
14:13-14), praise from the heart (,Psalm 22:3) our willing offering (Psalm
20:3-5), the name of the Lord (Philippians 2:9-11), confessions with conviction
(Proverbs 18:21), obedience to His word(1 Samuel 15:22), the blood of Jesus,
our testimony (Revelation 12:11), the holy communion (1 Corinthians 5:7) and so
on.
Prayer; prayer is a concept most of us are
familiar with though the working knowledge of the exercise is as strange to
some as hieroglyphic is to untrained eyes or the logograms used in Chinese
characters.
The truth is prayer is a mystery, but
praying doesn’t have to be a misery at all.
I’m really not going to say much about the
subject other than the fact that payer is communion with God. Someone puts it even better; he said prayer
is "audience with the almighty". Once you’ve got His audience, it’s your choice
what you do with it. Jesus said, when you do pray, approach God as coming to a
loving father, there is no special way to approach a loving father when you are
in good relationship.
Jesus further said; go into your closet to
pray and your father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Of course we do
need to pray corporately, but the strength of our corporate prayer is directly
proportional to the heat of our individual secrete prayer lives.
I see you receive answers to your prayers
right now, all you need to do is ask
