'Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power' -Abraham Lincoln.
I believe power comes to you in various ways; new level in your career, more disposable income crouching in your bank account, promotion in the office or a new job, demotion of your perceived opponents, new political office and so on, the list is endless.
One of the constant things in life is change, if you're in power now, things will change and the converse is also true, if you feel impotent at the moment, it's only a matter of time things will change.
Your change will come, however it's direction will be decided by you and you alone. Always good to remember that no matter how good things are, it can be better and no matter how bad it could have been worse. This truth should help cultivate a genuine attitude of gratitude; gratitude to your family, your friends, to all the people around you friend or 'foe' and finally to God.
Your change is at hand, your power is imminent but you don't want to delay it by indulging in any form of bitterness. Bitterness is like a burning match, a wise man said, only burns the one who holds on to it. Let it go, cleanse the heart and your victory will be sweeter.
